Referral Program: Agencies

Manage creators that would be a great fit for chirp? We'd love to have them! And chirp would love to reward you for it!

For every creator you refer, you can earn a one-time payment of $100 once that creator generates $100 in ad revenue!

The creator must generate a minimum of $100 in revenue within six months of the referral. If a creator does not generate $100+ within six months, the referral is no longer eligible for pay out.

Joining the Program

By default, all agency accounts are not opted into the referral program. If you would like to refer creators,  please get in touch with your chirp representative to adjust your account's settings.

Platform Statuses

Once enabled, there will be an additional 'Referral Status' entry next to each creator within the platform so that you can quickly view their status.

  • - : Creator is not a part of the referral program.
  • Active: Creator is part of the referral program.
  • Earning: Creator's chirp page is generating revenue.
    • All referred creators are automatically opted into monetization and do not have to meet chirp's monetization requirements.
  • Paid: Referred creator met the $100 revenue minimum, and you are entitled to your $100 payout.
    • Once a payout is made, the creator's referral is automatically terminated.
  • Suspended: Creator's referral was suspended before the referral payout.
    • A referral will be suspended if the creator's monetization is disabled.
    • If ad monetization is reenabled for a creator, the status will be updated to either 'Earning' or 'Expired', and you will receive an email notification to inform you of this change.
  • Expired: Six months have passed since the creator's referral, and the creator did not meet the revenue minimum.

Referral Suspension

If referral ad monetization is disabled during the 'Earning' stage, your referral status will be set to 'Suspended' and you will be notified about the change in status.

However, if referral ad monetization is re-enabled, the status is updated to either 'Expired' or 'Earning' and you will be notified about the status change.

Notes

  • When referring a creator, you must use your designated referral link to track referrals correctly.
  • If a referred creator is removed from your agency account, whether they removed themself or you removed them, you are still eligible for the referral payout if they hit the payout requirements.
  • You will receive email notification when statuses change to 'Paid', 'Suspended' or 'Expired'.
