Community & Page Guidelines
Creators' content is important, especially when it comes to building trust with their audience. That's why Chirp™ continuously reviews content to ensure it complies with platform requirements. Here’s what creators need to know:
Content Authenticity
- Creators must maintain consistent, high-quality, original content that aligns with platform standards.
- Content—including external links—must not contain adult themes, nudity, hate speech, violence or gore, harassment, discrimination, illegal activities or items, or references to self-harm.
-
All content must adhere to ethical advertising standards, avoiding misleading, manipulative, or harmful promotional tactics.
Content Review
Chirp uses an automated program that reviews creator pages once they are published, both for the first time and any time page updates are published.
Each page is reviewed for its text, images, and URLs, and scored across several categories, including those that contain prohibited content.
Pages receive grades of "Good", "Suspicious" or "Bad". Depending on the score, Chirp may take certain actions:
- Good: Monetization stays active.
- Suspicious: Your page needs a manual review. Monetization stays active unless that review finds a violation.
- Bad: Monetization is disabled, and the page may be removed.
If an automated or manual review determines that content violates Chirp’s guidelines, monetization will be disabled and the creator will be notified. The creator will then have the opportunity to update the page’s content. Once the page is revised and republished, it will automatically undergo another review in hopes of receiving a ‘Good’ score and restoring monetization.
Content Enforcement
- Removing content or pages
- Sending a warning
- Temporarily pausing monetization
- Temporarily suspending your account
- Permanently removing or deleting your account
- Limiting visibility or access to certain features
- Restricting new account creation
A creator may be at risk for account suspension if they are found to violate the policies repeatedly.
