How To: Build your Chirp Page

The Chirp™ bio link is your canvas for showcasing your personality and brand. It’s fully customizable—fun and easy to make your own. Whether it’s the layout, color palette, links, or widgets, your bio link says, “Hey, come check me out and stay a while!”

Choose your Starting Point

  • Start Fresh: This option will allow you to start building your Chirp page from scratch.
    • If you choose to Start Fresh, follow the steps below to build your Chirp!

  • Import from Linktree: This option is a great one if you have an existing Linktree! By choosing this option, Chirp will walk you through importing many pieces of your Linktree directly on to your Chirp page. 

Choose your Layout

Select the design that best represents your brand. 

Don't get caught up on the colors shown in the example, you will be able to change the colors to your preference at the next step.

Choose your Colors

Select the color that best represents your brand.

Add your Social Links

Select the social(s) that you want to add to your page.

Enter each social's URL. 

This step can be skipped and completed at a later time.

Add Profile

Upload a profile picture. 

Confirm the name shown is what you want to use as the name displayed on your Chirp page. If it needs to be updated, enter the correct name.

Build Your Page

Now, the real fun begins with building out your page! Select how you would like to proceed:

  1. Start from scratch: This will give you a blank slate to add in whatever section(s) you feel is best for your brand and your goals.
  2. Start with pre-filled template: Pre-defined sections will be available for use as an easy way to get started. 

If you choose to start from scratch, none of the sections will be automatically added to your page so you will need to select which section(s) to add by clicking 'Add to your page'.

If you choose the template, most of the sections listed below will be automatically added to your page using default copy and imagery.

  • To edit a section, click on the "pencil" icon to update.
  • To delete a section if you choose to remove it from your page, click on the "trash" icon.
  • To add a section if it's not automatically added, click 'Add to your page'.

 

All of the sections below are optional.

Spotlight Video

Using the Spotlight Video section is a great way to add an intro story to your page. Use this feature to introduce yourself to your followers or promote whatever it is that you want to promote!

  1. Click 'Upload Video'.
  2. Select your video file.
  3. Click 'Save Changes'.

Featured Links

Featured Links helps creators highlight brand collabs, blog posts, upcoming events and more! Depending on what you want to feature and how it should be featured, you can choose Hero or Showcase.

Hero

Up to 10 different "slides" can rotate within the Hero section at a time.

  1. Upload a Desktop Img/Video.*
    1. This is what visitors using a desktop computer will see.
  2. Upload a Mobile Image.*
    1. This is what mobile phone or tablet users see.
  3. Add a Subtitle.
  4. Add a Title.*
  5. Add a Link Text.*
  6. Add a URL link.*
  7. Set a Start Date and End Date. 
  8. Click 'Save Changes'.

To add more slides, click “+Add Another.” 

To delete a slide, click “Delete Card.”

Showcase

Up to 15 "cards" can be used within the Showcase section.

  1. Upload an image.*
  2. Add a Subtitle.*
  3. Add a Title.*
  4. Add a Link Text.*
  5. Add a URL link.*
  6. Set a Start Date and End Date. 
    1. This is optional. It is helpful to use if for creators who only want this "card" to appear during a certain timeframe, like during a promotional period.
  7. Click “Save Changes."

To add more slides, click “+Add Another.” 

To delete a slide, click “Delete Card.”

Social Integrations

If you connect your Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube accounts directly to your Chirp page, you can showcase the content so your followers can see all of it in one place.

By adding Instagram and TikTok, your revenue potential can increase as an ad slot is mixed in with the social posts. 

If you have not already connected your social accounts, you will first be prompted to do so before being able to move forward with this section. 

Mosaic

Mosiac allows you to present multiple social accounts at once!

  1. Select the accounts to be showcased on your page.
  2. Click 'Save Changes'.

Instagram

Selecting this will automatically add your most recent Instagram posts to your page.

Instagram Grid

Selecting this will automatically add your most recent Instagram posts to your page in a grid format.

TikTok

Selecting this will automatically add your most recent TikTok posts to your page.

TikTok Grid

Selecting this will automatically add your most recent TikTok posts to your page in a grid format.

YouTube

Selecting this will automatically add your most recent YouTube posts to your page.

Embed

Have online content or services that you want to promote? Using the Embed section is a great way to highlight different content or URLs to your followers!

Embed a URL

Want to add the most recent IMDB page update to your Chirp page? List an upcoming performance on Eventbrite? Let diners know you’re a star on Yelp? Launch a GoFundMe? Schedule appointments with clients? All these options – over 1,000+ platforms are supported -- are at your fingertips through Chirp’s Embed Service Integration.

  1. Add the URL you wish to embed.
  2. Click 'Save Changes'.

Link a post from X

  1. Add the post's URL.
  2. Decide on the background.
  3. Click 'Save Changes'.

Spotify

  1. Add the Artist URL.
  2. Click 'Save Changes'.

Tile Cards

Tile Cards are used to showcase a brand’s content, gives creators follower counts, and alerts their audience to various social accounts. There are four types of Tile Cards: Featured, Short Stack, Stack and Social Status. 

Featured, Short Stack and Stack are similar in that they help to highlight items in various sizes.

Social Status includes follower counts and makes it easy for visitors to follow creators on various social media accounts if they aren't already.

Featured

  1. Upload a Desktop Image.*
  2. Upload a Mobile Image.*
  3. Add a Subtitle.
  4. Add a Title.
  5. Add a Link Text.
  6. Add a Link URL.*
  7. Add a Start Date and End Date.
  8. Click “Save Changes.”

Short Stack

Smaller in size than the Featured Tile, the Short Stack is big in impact. Even better -- two Short Stacks are allowed on Chirp bio links. These are great for highlighting blog posts, merch, links, or anything else.

  1. Choose the Appearance.
    1. Color Theme: This will utilize the selected color theme for the creator’s Chirp bio link.
    2. Image: This will use an image rather than one color. 
      1. Upload an image.*
  2. Add a Subtitle.
  3. Add a Title.
  4. Add a Link Text.*
  5. Add a Link URL.
  6. Add a Start Date and End Date.
  7. Click “Save Changes.”

To add another card, click “+Add Another.” 

To delete a card, click “Delete Card.”

Stack

Stack is very similar to Short Stack, just a bit of difference in sizing, so it's all about how you want the cards to look. Just follow the same steps as Short Stack.

Social Status

Creators’ connected social media accounts will be pre-populated and selected. Chirp auto-fills connected social media accounts and keeps those numbers up to date.

  1. To include or exclude an account(s), click the box next to the account.
    1. If it's checked, then the account will be included. 
  2. Click “Save Changes.”

Products

Products are often a key component of a creator’s brand. Whether it’s their own merch, brand collabs, or affiliate links, the Chirp™ Products section is structured to help make the most of product sales.

Adding Products

First things first, adding products to the Products section. From the Products section, click on 'Edit List in Products'.

  1. Add a Product - this can be done in two ways:
    1. Add Product from Link
      1. Enter product URL.
      2. Click 'Get Data.'
      3. Once the 'Add New Product' window appears, confirm that the data is correct. If not, edit where necessary.
      4. Click 'Save'.
    2. Enter data manually
      1. Add a Product URL..*
      2. Add a Product Title.*
      3. Add a Shop Name.*
      4. Add a Product Price.*
      5. Add a Rating.
      6. Add Rating Votes.
      7. Add a Product Image.*
        1. Up to four images can be added per product.
      8. Click 'Save'.
  2. Continue adding as many products as desired.

To edit or remove saved products, click the "three dots" icon to the right of each product listed. 

Selecting Products

  1. Select which product(s) to highlight on the bio link.*
  2. If more than one product is selected, adjust the preferred order of appearance by dragging and dropping. This can be done by clicking on and holding the six dots to the left of each product. 
  3. Further customization is possible by adding or placing items in specified areas, like next to YouTube videos.
  4. Click 'Save Changes.'

Section Headlines

You can create additional sections for even more customization.
Add in the Title, Link Text and Link URL. Click 'Save Changes'.

Change your Flow

Is the flow of sections not really working for you? Well, you can change the sections around so that they work best for you.

  1. Locate the section on the page preview that you wish to move.
  2. Hover over the section so that the blue outline appears
  3. Click on the "six dots" icon to the right.
  4. While holding the icon, drag and drop the section to your preferred location on the page.

Congrats! You have built your Chirp page! 🎉 

One last step to take - time to publish it! After all changes are saved and your page is exactly how you want it, click 'Publish' to take your page live.
