Monetization Requirements

To ensure network and brand safety, monetization is not automatically applied during account creation. If a creator meets the monetization requirements, monetization will be approved and ads will be displayed on the creator's chirp page(s).

Monetization Review

Monetization is not automatically applied at the time of account creation. Each account is reviewed before being enabled for monetization to ensure that the requirements are met. Accounts are typically reviewed within 24 business hours, but there may be accounts that require additional time to review.

Creators will be periodically reviewed to determine monetization eligibility. A creator may become eligible for monetization by meeting requirements, however, there may be cases where a creator will lose monetization due to no longer meeting the requirements. 

Monetization & Ad Eligibility Requirements

  1. Minimum Follower Threshold

    • Creators must have at least 500 followers on one of their connected social media accounts. 

  2. Content Authenticity

    • Creators must maintain consistent, high-quality, original content that aligns with platform standards.
    • Profiles must be complete and publicly visible, including:
      • A profile picture
      • A bio
      • A minimum of 10 posts within the past 6 months, demonstrating regular engagement.
    • The use of automated bots, engagement farming, or fraudulent methods to inflate followers, engagement, or views is strictly prohibited.

  3. Compliance with Chirp Community Guidelines

    • Content must not include nudity, hate speech, violence, harassment, or discrimination.
    • The promotion of illegal activities or content that violates legal standards is strictly prohibited.
    • All content must adhere to ethical advertising standards, avoiding misleading, manipulative, or harmful promotional tactics.
